Adams Rite Storefront Locks
Adams Rite Storefront Locks are found in most aluminum-style storefront doors. They all come with very similar problems, most of which are very easy to solve. For instance, when the cylinders just suddenly start rejecting keys or not releasing the keys There are only a few different styles of Adams Rite locks and they come in similar back sets.
Firstly the deadbolt
Available in 3 back sets 1 1/2″ 31/32″ 1 1/8″
This lock works great for single or double aluminum glass doors. When used on double doors the inactive door is secured with flush bolts.
Secondly the hook bolt
Available in 3 back sets 1 1/2″ 31/32″ 1 1/8″
Hook bolts are the perfect way to secure sliding doors or double aluminum narrow-style doors
In addition, there is the Adams Rite Deadlatch
Available in 3 back sets 1 1/2″ 31/32″ 1 1/8″
Deadlatches a perfect for aluminum glass doors that need to lock behind each person that leaves.
To clarify here are a few of the problems with storefront locks:
- The mortise cylinder spins freely
- The lock cylinder doesn’t turn far enough to engage the lock
- Mortise cylinder falls out
- Bolt drops after locked
- Keys get stuck in these locks
